I'm meellttiinngg

The weirdest thing I've ever seen actually doesn't even begin to describe this
It's not a testimony to the love of a chocolate bar,
It's not some kind of poop-festish pornography,
It's the "Restoration" series by Edwin Lester.
Now, Ok, here's the thing, I get what its supposed to be, the deeper you fall in love with God/obedience what ever the more whole the more human you become.   However
At the risk of sounding like a racist, I don't know if brown is the colour you should have used.

It looks a bit more like some kind of terrifying dementor that is sucking the flesh tone out of the person rather than bleeding it into it.

And I know I'm going to hell for this.  But the first thing I thought when I saw this one is the lips kind of remind me of Apu's from the simpsons when he's singing on the roof...

This one...

What's wrong with me?  Better yet what's wrong with the guy that painted this?

The First Sunday After Easter

Is Divine Mercy Sunday

Which is one of my favourite days of the year, being the big sinner that I am.

Well, turns out that the instructions about making the image were not THAT specific, and indeed there were no regulations about the material that could be used so...

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAE!

DIVINE MERCY PANCAKES! (I can't even begin to tell you how much I want this...)

Divine Mercy Cake Wreck!

Actually, I think that cake is kind of cute....except my MANUAL FOR DEVOTION TO DIVINE MERCY (brought to you by Paranoid-Catholic Conspiracy Theorists for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the revealing of the third secret free literature program) would take offence because the "Jesus I Trust in You" is ABOVE the image, which is actually specified in the book to be blasphemy.  *sigh* there is nothing worse than an uppity free pamphlet.

Don't get too excited

Relax.  Although they might LOOK like salt and pepper shakers, two saints famous for mortification aren't about to help your food taste better.  These are not salt and pepper shakers, they are Gaul and Wormwood shakers.  Now unplug your nose and eat your boiled chicken puree, sister.

Easter.

Throughout my whole life, I've been in a serious battle. Does Easter mean Big time Jesus time? or does Easter mean big time chocolate time?

I am no longer fighting this battle.
